What Ticksheet keeps

Last updated October 17, 2026. Short version: numbers, first names and taps. No accounts, no email, no tracking cookies.

Stored

  • Your Stat Book: a scrambled fingerprint (salted SHA-256) of its private link, when it was made and the day it was last opened.
  • Teams: name, sport, roster (jersey number + a label of up to 16 characters), custom counter names.
  • Games: opponent name, date, your taps (player number, stat, period, time), share link if you made one.
  • Rate limits: a salted fingerprint of your network address and a count, kept for 2 days.

Not stored or asked for

No names beyond the short label you choose, no email, no phone, no photos, no birthdays, no school. Labels that look like contact details are refused. No analytics services and no outside fonts. The public pages show one banner ad from adengine.us, described under Advertising; it is the only outside service any page loads, and it also counts one page view per page as a daily total.

Cookies

Three: one holds your Stat Book link so this browser stays signed in to it (400 days), one protects forms (a day), and a session cookie. All are first-party and HttpOnly where the browser allows. The tap pad also keeps unsent taps in your browser's local storage until they are sent.

Advertising

The public pages of Ticksheet (home, the sample box score, how the numbers work, pricing and about) show one banner ad from AdEngine (adengine.us), the small ad network run by WeldonPC, the company behind this site. For now the ads are for WeldonPC's own services. Your Stat Book, teams, games, the tap pad, box scores, share links, this page and the terms show none, so an ad never appears next to a player's name or numbers.

To show an ad, your browser loads a script from adengine.us, asks it for one banner, loads the banner image, and reports once that the page was viewed and once that the banner was shown. Like any website, adengine.us receives your network address, your browser type and the address of this site with those requests.

  • No cookies, no profile. AdEngine sets no cookies, gives you no ID and does not track you from site to site.
  • How your network address is used. adengine.us looks up the approximate city for your address in a location database kept on its own server (nothing is sent to anyone else), so that ads meant for one area are shown only there. It also uses the address to count each ad view or click only once and to leave out robots and WeldonPC's own office traffic. The address is not stored with the counts; the temporary entries made from it expire within six hours and are cleared from the server within two days.
  • What is kept. Daily totals only: page views for this site, and views and clicks for each ad. The adengine.us web server also keeps a standard access log (network address, time, address requested, referring site, browser) for security; it is deleted on a rolling schedule.
  • Clicking an ad passes through adengine.us, which counts the click, and then opens the advertiser's site, which has its own privacy policy.
  • Nothing about you is sold or shared.

Who can see a Stat Book

Anyone with its private link. A box score share link (Plus) shows that one game only, and stops working when you turn it off.

Deleting

Delete a game, a team or the whole Stat Book at any time; it is removed from the live database at once. Backup copies age out on their own: nightly copies are kept 14 days, copies made at software updates are kept for the last 10 updates. Stat Books unused for 400 days are deleted automatically.

Children

Ticksheet is for the adults who keep a team's stats. It is designed so that no child's contact details or identity beyond a first name or initials are needed or accepted.
